:: What is Page Yield?
Page yield is the number of pages that you can print with a printer cartridge. It is also known as ink / toner cartridge yield. Page yield is one of the factors you should consider when purchasing a printer cartridge. Some printer cartridge manufacturers use general terms such as standard yield or high yield to describe the cartridges, but each printer cartridge model should have a page yield (the number of pages it can print under standard conditions). It gives the consumers an estimate of the cost per page (CPP) for that cartridge. Other than page yield, you should also consider factors such as the price, print quality, reliability, warranty, etc. when purchasing a printer cartridge.

The Canon Pixma MP495 all in one printer is the perfect option for casual printer users. If you need to print regularly either for work or play this printer is not the right for you. This device will print, scan and copy with the wireless option that is always good. There are a lot of good qualities about this printer to take under consideration when purchasing.
To differentiate it from its predecessors this Pixma printer has a black glossy look with smooth edges. Overall it is a good value and has decent printing speed. It doesn’t have an LCD display and it might get a little complicated without it but it has a panel with usual buttons such as start, stop, scan, color vs black and white, paper sizes and a power button.
Usually when a printer is not very expensive you probably will have replacement cartridges that are more expensive than other inkjet all in one printers. The custom continues with the Pixma MP495 printer. You can get original ink cartridges for about twenty dollars but you will only be able to print 400+ pages with the black ink cartridge and 244 with the color cartridges. More than likely you will print even less if you are printing photos. Fortunately you can find other options for replacement cartridges that are as inexpensive as the printer itself with the same results.
Canon Pixma MP495 Inks can be replaced rather easily, they are located under the scanner lid and it’s considered a hybrid print system. Basically what that means is that the black ink cartridge is pigmented and the color ink cartridges are dyes.
