The fuser unit has two compression rollers that press down the toner particles into the paper, while melting the particles into it. The top roller is heated by a quartz lamp and melts the toner to the paper passing through exits the fuser unit, while the lower roller applies pressure to the paper.  The HEWLETT PACKARD fuser kit name might include along with the fuser, a hand wipe, and paper rollers.  The amount of paper rollers depends on the laser printer model and brand.  This OEM HEWLETT PACKARD fuser kit is completely compatible and has been manufactured for the laser printer by HEWLETT PACKARD.
