If you experience paper jams often, the type of paper you are using may be the problem. For best results, select paper developed specifically for photocopying or laser printing. Be sure to fan the paper before loading it into your paper tray.
Make sure the 1'ST PAPER SIZE user function is set for the size paper you are using.
1 Lift the top cover and swing it out of the way. 2 Pull the control panel upward and toward you until it releases. Swing it up and out of the way. 3 Lift the image drum unit out and set it aside. Keep it out of direct sunlight. Do not touch the green surface of the drum. 4 Pull out any paper you see jammed inside the machine. 5 Place the image drum unit back into your OKIOFFICE 44. Make sure that the tabs on both sides of the image drum are inserted correctly as shown below. Then press down firmly on both ends of the image drum until it snaps into place. 6 Close the top cover. Make sure it is latched on both sides.
7 Close the control panel. Press down until it snaps into place. Make sure it is latched on both sides. 8 Pull the paper out of the paper tray. If any of the paper is damaged, remove and replace it.
9 Reload the paper, print side down. Push it down gently until it stops. Be sure to grasp the paper tightly so the uppermost sheet of paper does not slip.
