How do I download and install software and drivers?
HP provides many free software and driver downloads. These files are available from your specific HP product’s Software and Driver Downloads page. Downloadable files come with instructions on how to download and install the applications for your specific computer model and operating system.
When possible, you can save some time and initiate the software/driver install by clicking the “Install Now” button on the download page. When you do this, the file is temporarily saved to your computer and then begins the install automatically.
If you choose to download the software or driver before installing it, make sure you save it somewhere easy to find such as on the computer desktop. Double-click the software file to start the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions until installation is complete.
