Burning Out Prices - Not Printer Ink!

Like we said previously burning down prices is a good thing for your pocket. Burning printer ink is a total different story. We are currently working on an amazing Tech Support Guide on specific cartridges installation procedures. And we add over and over again:

NOTE: Do not put your toner / ink cartridges on a fire or do not burn your printer cartridge

Our first reaction is duh that is obvious, but we are taking a closer look at the warning to make it clear.

Ink Cartridges can burn out inside your printer!

It is important to always make sure the ink cartridges have ink. Cartridges fire ink at approximately 400 degrees, if there is no ink inside to cool the nozzles, it might burn out, so make sure you have a replacement cartridge as soon as the cartridge says it’s empty. This will ensure that the nozzles on the print head will not burn out.

Toner Cartridges can burn your fingers!

A common danger area in your laser toner printer is in the roller compartment. Laser printers are built differently but if yours has the roller compartment in tight quarters, so you should be careful when you go near it. This compartment gets HOT when printing, and if you have recently printed it may still be hot when trying to change the laser toner. Don't burn yourself on the roller compartment. Avoid the heat by waiting at least one hour after your last print before attempting to change your laser toner.

Ways to save printer ink so it won’t burn out too fast

By following some simple steps you can save printer ink and make it last longer. You should know exactly what you need to print and minimize images if possible. Use draft mode and a smart printing practices to know what to print and what not.
Be smart and print black, most inkjet and laser printer black cartridges cost less than color cartridges. Another way to save printer ink is to clean your printer regularly. Yes dust and dirt clog printer nozzles and thus making you print more for the results you need. Review your work prior to printing, that way you won’t have to print again due to a typo.

Have you wondered what happens to cartridges when heated?

We have and luckily for us we don’t need to find out. Here are two examples of what happens to ink and toner when microwaved. Enjoy!!
